Animation: I'm sorry, I'm Sorry, Jon

My first attempt at an animated video, combining the misc things i've been learning over the last few weeks/months/years into one overly ambitious project.

Made in Blender.

really enjoyed playing with the lighting in this project and trying to get the same atmosphere as the original.

i'm particularly proud of this flashlight, a combination of a spotlight, a cone mesh, and an emissive gradient texture, thrown onto a bone and constrained to the rig's hand. The end visual worked out really well, i think

making black volume boxes to get extra deep shadows was also neat

I also really enjoyed learning to use blender's grease pencil to make stylish text graphics. i had no idea this existed (along with blender's video editor lmao) so im excited at the possibilities

ive never done anything like this before, and didnt know what i was doing, not really. I ended up making everything in one file and did a lot of dummy moves- like only using one camera, poorly managing multiple rigs, and making renders too early, oh well
